MICHIGAN'S UPPER PENINSULA FALL PHOTO SAFARI - October 12 th through the 16 th, 2013
Michigan's Upper Peninsula offers a beauty and remoteness hard to find now in the lower 48. From the shores of the Great Lakes with its historic old lighthouses to the numerous hidden waterfalls and tiny lakes of it's interior the U.P., as the locals call it, is a photographers paradise any time of year but especially in the fall. Fall in the U.P. arguably rivals that of New England. Forests of hardwoods dress in a blaze of color to overwhelm the senses. The Images above are but a taste of what awaits you in Michigan. Testimonials
Ginna and I are avid, passionate photographer, and we very much enjoyed Nick's Redoubt Mountain Lodge Photo Safari! We joined Nick and three other couples, all friends by the end, for 4 exciting days of bear and wildlife photography and fabulous fishing. Nick chose this excellent venue, and we were constantly in position to capture wonderful images. We recommend it highly; breathtaking scenery, comfortable accommodation, dedicated guides and hosts, good food and, well, bring lots of memory!
Rex & Ginna Short, Arizona
After my amazing float plane trip, after viewing the incredible scenery, I found myself emerged into the family atmosphere at Redoubt Mountain Lodge. Bears, bears and more bears, I could not have asked for a more up-close and personal bear experience. I would never have imagined getting to take some of the bear pictures I did.
For me the whole experience was made even more outstanding because of my photo guide Nick. I communicated with him so often before the trip that I felt like I knew him by the time I got to Alaska. Nick not only advised me on subjects to take pictures of but took the time to teach me things I didn't yet know about photography. He not only was knowledgeable about photography but Alaska as well. I feel I have made a friend for life. I look forward to coming back to Alaska for another trip with Nick and maybe some of the other wonderful and exciting places he goes.

I recently had the great privilege of attending a wildlife photography course with Nick Fucci at Redoubt Mountain Lodge at Lake Clark, Alaska. What an amazing few days! Under the expert guidance of Nick everyone in the group was able to make terrific photographs of the amazing coastal brown bears "fishing" for salmon on the shores of the lake. A highlight was the regular sighting of a sow with 2 cubs, both of whom playfully frolicked around the foreshores, seemingly oblivious to our small boat, despite our being only 15 yard away at times! Nick showed me how to use the back focusing button on my camera to allow continuous focus yet permit me to reframe the shot before shooting. This was incredibly useful for this type of photography! I followed his advice and rented a 500mm lens which was perfect...although often this proved to be too much zoom when we came very close to the bears. I was also able to take some focused images of bald eagles in flight, something I have never been able to do before. I would thoroughly recommend Nick's workshops to all levels of photographer and hope to join him again in the future!
I should also mention how terrific Redoubt Mountain Lodge turned out to be! Heather, Ryan , Danielle and all the guides pampered everyone from the moment we set foot in this absolute slice of paradise. The lodging and food were really first class and even having a few rainy days didn't seem to matter when we were enjoying such luxury

Testimonials
The Photo Safari to the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica with Nick as the leader and instructor was exceptional. Nick's knowledge of the flora and fauna of Costa Rica is a real plus. His years of teaching photography have added greatly to his ability to convey his knowledge. To be able to spend a limited amount of time in country and see what we did was amazing! This adventure was a true value compared to other photo safaris. I know I'll always appreciate the great experience and that I was fortunate to photograph and travel with Nick.
Douglas Dye, Montana
The Osa Peninsula is a breathtaking place with an abundance of
photographic opportunities. Nick's knowledge of the area and knack for
teaching will help anybody get not just great images, but amazing
images. He knows when and where to be. Nick's Costa Rica photo safari
is such a fulfilling experience I've taken the trip twice, and I look
forward to the third time I will be joining Nick in the Osa.
John & Amy Clark, Utah
The abundant and diversity of wildlife we saw on the Osa Peninsula was amazing. Nick is a walking encyclopedia and he is most willing to share his knowledge. I have so many great shots and lots of new knowledge to takehome with me. Thinking back I understand Nick must be a very patient person. This was my first trip to the jungle, the Lookout Inn was a unique experience, a family style jungle lodge I never could have imagined, me coming from Norway! I thought there would be an abundance of annoying insects but was surprised there were not. In short, Nick worked hard for my shots!
