Our Alaskan Moose Photo Safari is unlike many other photo tours, as a hike-in it allows the photographer to capture the moose on their terms and from truly the moose's eye view. Hiking distances vary for 1 to 5 miles round trip depending on the location of the animals. Hiking is on improved and unimproved trails as well as open tundra and taiga forest. Difficultly is considered moderate to difficult depending on physical condition. This is an unbelievable experience and well worth the effort!
This year we've extended our schedule to include dates both before and after our annual Alaskan Wilderness Experience Safari at Redoubt Mountain Lodge.
We have over 31 years of experience photographing these beautiful creatures in their native taiga forests. Group size is limited to 3 individuals to maintain a stress free experience for both you and the moose. For a truly memorable experience ask us about our one-on-one moose safaris. Our Alaskan Moose Photo Safaris start at $225/day/pp and new for 2010, we're offering our signature moose photo safaris at $150/pp for any of our Alaskan Wilderness Experience Safari participants.
In addition to our Moose Photo Safaris we are now offering several additional Alaskan Photo Safaris including: A full day in Hatcher Pass to photograph the beauty of fall on the alpine tundra and its varied wildlife, 1/2 day along Turnagain Arm listed by the National Geographic Society as one of america's scenic by-ways and something new "Macro Alaska Style" a 1/2 day look at the small world in the largest state. Testimonials
"I have been trying to photograph moose for several years, traveling to Maine, Yellowstone and Northern Colorado. However, the opportunities with Nick outside of Anchorage were beyond my wildest dreams! At one time Nick and I counted 25 moose within our field of vision."
"Nick is an outstanding guide and is extremely knowledgeable about the biology and life cycle of the moose which adds a lot to the experience."
Dr. Jack Klapper, Colorado
"Our day with Nick and the moose was the most amazing experience. We traveled very far to see and photograph moose and were not disappointed! Nick knows these animals well. Thanks Nick,
