ALASKAN WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE PHOTO SAFARI
September 19th through the 23rd, 2014
ALASKA, more than just a place but a state of mind. The Last Frontier in North America, wild and unspoiled. Join us as we travel to the remote Redoubt Mountain Lodge and experience Alaska from the comfort of this exclusive fly-in lodge. Nestled in the shadow of the 10,197 foot Redoubt Volcano on the shores of Crescent Lake this wilderness destination offers both the amateur and the professional photographer endless photographic opportunities. The lodge is located in the heart of Lake Clark National Park a place where time has stood still for thousands of years. As you look out from your room you'll view hanging glaciers perched precariously in the Chigmit Mountains.
Wildlife abounds in the region with the giant Alaskan Brown Bear as our feature subject. But you may also see Black Bear, Moose, Bald Eagles, Otters, Beavers and much, much more, and the Alaskan scenery is among the most breathtaking on earth.
The emphasis of the trip is on photography; however, should you like to try a new challenge, you can try your hand at some of Alaska's world famous fishing or a leisurely kayak trip on the pristine waters of Crescent Lake, a hike to a nearby vista or just sit and relax on the deck at the lodge as you take in the grandeur that is Alaska. Don't let this unique opportunity pass you by.

For those who are more adventurous, the lodge offers hikes to several of the nearby peaks in the Chigmit Mountains. These hikes should only be undertaken by those in excellent physical condition! We recommend walking with a light day pack 2 to 3 times a week to prepare for hikes during the photo safari. Our guides will assist in determining whether you are capable in participating in the hikes. But don't worry, if hiking isn't for you we've got plenty of bears to photograph!!
