CALENDAR OF EVENTS :: Here's what we've up to over the last few months: March 2008 More photo safari news, we're working with the Lookout Inn (www.lookout-inn.com) in Carate, Costa Rica to put together a photo safari in early 2009. Nestled in the shadow of the 10,197 foot Redoubt Volcano on the shores of Crescent Lake this remote location offers both the amateur and the professional photographer endless photographic opportunities. A premier wilderness destination the lodge is located in the heart of Lake Clark National Park a place where time has stood still for thousands of years. Wildlife abounds in the region with the Alaskan Brown Bear, Black Bear, Moose, Bald Eagles, Otters, Beavers and much, much more, and the Alaskan scenery is among the most breathtaking on earth. Besides photography, you can try your hand at some of Alaska's world famous fishing or a leisurely kayak trip on the pristine waters of Crescent Lake, a hike to a nearby vista or just sit and relax on the deck at the lodge as you take in the grandeur that is Alaska. This is our most popular tour. Spend a day or several in the company of North Americas largest member of the deer family, and the Alaskan subspecies is the largest of the moose. Our 2008 tour season will be during the pre-rut when the bulls are vying for the attention of the cows and working out just who's the biggest boy on the block. Tours will be offered from September 4th through the 12th, extra days may be added if required. A day with these giants is a truly memorable experience you won't want to miss. In addition to of Moose Photo Safaris we are now offering several additional Alaskan Photo Safaris including: A full day in Hatcher Pass to photograph the beauty of fall on the alpine tundra and its varied wildlife, 1/2 day along Turnagain Arm listed by the National Geographic Society as one of america's scenic by-ways and something new "Macro Alaska Style" a 1/2 day look at the small world in the largest state. "ICONS OF THE WEST PHOTO SAFARI" October 4th, 5th & 6th, 2008
Its cowboys and cattle drives, stampedes and chuck wagons. Three days of Wranglin, Ropin and Roundups. Join us in Maybell in northwest Colorado for 3-days of photography right out of the old west. In addition, we'll also be photographing the wild horse herds in NW Colorado and southern Wyoming. Our guide will be Jim Beall of J-B Wild Horse Tours, Jim's knowledge of the livestock and the country make for being in the right place at the right time for some outstanding photo opportunities. Who knows might even have a little cowboy poetry around the camp fire! The cost of this photo safari is $1000/pp for the three days and includes all lodging and meals. This safari is limited to six participants so get along little doggie. ON-THE-FLY PHOTO SAFARIS These photo tours are both educational as well as spiritual. While learning the finer points of outdoor and nature photography you'll experience the beauty of Northwest Montana. Our On-The-Fly Photo Safaris are meant for the individual or group on a tight schedule or if you've got a little extra time on your Montana vacation. Our On-the-fly groups are from 1 to 4 persons.
We offer flexible scheduling for our safaris; let us know when you'd like to go and we'll do our best to work within your schedule. Cost for the one-day is $200/pp or $350/pp for two days. Safaris can also be scheduled for longer periods, just contact us for pricing. All safaris include transportation from our residence to and from all shooting locations, lunch, field instruction and snacks while in the field. PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHY TOURS & LESSONS For the individual wishing to go it alone, we offer one-on-one private safari or class. Private classes are $425/day and $250 for 1/2 day. The full day class will include a photoshop primer. Tour pricing is based on the tour. Contact us directly for pricing on private photo tours.
